Martin Edwards is Chief Executive of Julia's House, the Dorset Children's Hospice, a UK not-for-profit organisation. He is highly regarded nationally as one of the forerunners of the new social entrepreneurialism, successfully combining third sector engagement and values with a corporate ethos and focus on the bottom line. Martin is in high demand as a speaker and adviser to numerous leading organizations and networks including the Institute of Directors, Coutts & Co., the RNLI, the National School of Government, and high-level entrepreneur forums.
In the last three years Martin, 42, has overseen a quadrupling of Julia's House turnover and the charity can justifiably claim to be one of very best run organizations of any kind in the country.

A law graduate from Oxford University, Martin's first career was in Brand Management for US multinational Procter & Gamble, voted Marketing Magazine’s ‘Marketing Company of the 20th Century’.
In 1991 Martin moved into the UK not-for-profit sector, becoming youngest ever Regional Manager of leading international children’s charity, Save the Children. He is a former Director of Fundraising at two national UK charities, including a leadership development charity. He is an award-winning writer and frequent contributor to Director and Third Sector magazines.
He is married to Vicki Edwards, a Personal and Executive Coach and principal of Firestarter Coaching and of Dorset Education Coaching Service www.dorseteducationcoachingservice.co.uk.They have two young sons.
